Traditional Tariff Setup
Previous  Top  Next

The RMSWeb Tariff module is a powerful and flexible tool which calculates the Tariff due for a reservation. There are many features and possibilities within the Tariff setup.

How do Tariffs work in RMSWeb?
To set your Tariffs in RMSWeb, three (3) key areas are linked together by a Tariff Lookup allowing RMSWeb to calculate the correct tariff regardless of the season, category or type of reservation;

Tariff Types
Who the tariff is being create for. For Example: Pensioner Rate, Rack Rate, Corporate Rate

Tariff Periods
Dates from & to which govern the tariff For Example: Low Season, High Season.

Tariff Tables
Amount which is to be charged. For Example: You would only enter a new Tariff Table for each applicable rate, if your different High Seasons all result in the same charge, you would only need to make one tariff table.

Tariff Lookup
Links all of the above areas together.
An easy way to complete your Lookups is to ask yourself - If I am making a reservation and I am choosing the Tariff Type of Standard, the reservation if for the High Season and the Category I am choosing is One Bedroom then apply the Tariff of X.

When a reservation crosses periods, each season's tariff will be applied for the days in each season.

How do I get Started?
