Tariff Lookups

The Tariff look up table brings together the Tariff setup elements (Tariff Type, Tariff Period and Tariff Table) to allow the construction of a cost for each reservation.

Think of the Tariff Look Up table as answering the four basic questions:
Who?    Tariff Type indicates the type of guest
When?    Tariff Periods provide the applicable dates
Where?    The reservation provides the location (Category/Area)
How Much?    The Tariff Table provides the amounts to charge.

All these elements come together to allow RMSWeb to calculate the correct Tariff for each reservation.

From any screen within RMSWeb

Click once on Setup on the Navigation bar
Choose Per Night Tariffs (Lookup) from the list
Choose Tariff Lookups from the sub list
Click once on Add

The below screen will appear;

Using the above example, please see the blue text for assistance.


1. Choose the appropriate Tariff Type
If I am making a reservation and I choose the Tariff Type of Standard Rate


2. Tick the appropriate Category
The reservation is in an Oceanic Suite


3. Choose either All or a Specific Area
Regardless of which specific room the reservation is in


4. Choose the appropriate Tariff Period
And the reservation is staying within the Low Season


5. Choose the appropriate Tariff Table
Then apply the Tariff of Oceanic Suite Low Season


6. Choose Save/Next to continue setting up your Lookups, then Save/Exit when completed.

You have now completed your Tariff Lookups setup. This completes your setup of the Tariffs within RMSWeb.
