RMSWeb uses default terminology when speaking about certain areas of your database. Within RMSWeb you have the ability to change our terminology to suit your own.

For example: Where we may call something an Area you may choose to call it a Room, Apartment, House, Site etc.

Below we have provided a glossary of these terms and the meaning they may have to you to assist you with the use of the RMSWeb Help Files;

Glossary of Term
Client
The person who will be staying at your property. You may call them Guests, Students, Personnel.

Area
The bookable area at your property. You may call them Apartments, Rooms, Sites.

Res Type
The type of reservation For example, Corporate Guest, Leisure Guest. This is a tool for grouping reservations together, achieving valuable marketing reports in the system.

Tariff
The amount that you will be charging. You may choose to call them rates.

Company
Third party companies that you have allowed to use a charge back facilities at your property, therefore utilizing accounts receivable to recoup debit from corporate guest stays.

Booking Source
A list of options on how a client found out about your property For Example, Internet, Walk-In, The Age Advertisement.

Dwelling

Category
A way of grouping areas together For example, One Bedroom Apartments, Ocean View Apartments etc. You may call them, Apartments or Room Types.

Travel Agent
Agents who you have allowed to book your areas on your behalf For Example, Wotif, Visit Melbourne Info Center.
