Click once on Setup on the Navigation bar
Choose Accounting from the list
Choose G/L Acc Codes from the sub list
Click once on Add
Account Codes attach to your sundry charges and categories, they
are utilized in the financial reporting of RMSWeb.
Accounts record and group each charge raised in RMSWeb. They are a
record of your income and you may establish as many accounts as
needed. Ten (10) system account codes will be set in your database,
these cannot be removed. They are;
CC Commissions, Deposit, Internet Charges, Phone Charges, Refund,
RMSOnline Credit Card Fees, RMSOnline Transaction Fees, Suspense
Charge, Suspense Receipt, Trust Suspense.
1. Enter a General Ledger Code. General
Ledger Codes may be alpha or numeric characters or a mixture of
both. It is recommended that the General Ledger Code be the same as
used in your external Accounting system For Example: MYOB or Quick
books.
2. Enter a Description. The
short description will appear in reports.
3. You may enter a Long Description. The
long description can be used as a mail merge field to provide more
detail than the short description.
4. You may associated a Grouping. Grouping
provides an ability to place similar accounts in a group for
reporting purposes, with a sub total for each group. Groupings are
established under Setup, Groupings,Groupings– it is recommended that Groupings are established before adding
Accounts, thus avoiding the need to add Groups to General Ledger
Codes at a later time.
5. If you use the Trust Accounting module you may associate a Trust
Grouping. Trust
grouping is only used when the Owner Accounting module is used and
tells the system which charges to include in which EOM income
expenses column of the owner
statement.
6. Click once on Save/Next to enter further General Ledger Codes.
Click once on Save/Exit when complete.

Acc Codes Search Screen: The G/L Acc Codes search screen
will show a list of all general ledger codes by default.
You may filter the G/L Acc Codes list to find the code you are
after by using the Filter By option on the bottom left hand side of
the screen. Filter
Options are GL Code or Description.
The columns on this screen are able to be widened by click, hold
and drag mouse function, left or right, the column you wish to
decrease or increase.
To move the column order, click and hold the column title you wish
to move, keeping the mouse button down drag the column left or
right to the desired area you wish for it to show, release the
mouse button to drop the column into position.
