You can set a Deposit request to your Tariff Table, this will be requested each time a reservation is made using this Tariff Table. If you do not wish to create a Deposit requirement click HERE to move onto the Additional's tab.
Not every property will see both deposit boxes, the second deposit is an optional feature in RMS. If you wish to turn this option on you will need to;
Choose Setup from the Navigation bar
Choose System Operations from the menu
Choose Accounting Options from the sub menu
Tick the second deposit required option.
Deposit:
1. Choose how you would like to calculate the deposit
Deposit Amount
A dollar ($) and/or percentage (%) amount - RMSWeb will use whichever amount is higher.
Per week or part thereof
A dollar ($) amount which will calculate out over every 7 day period the guest is staying or part there of a week.
1st Night rate
The first nights tariff as per the Tariff tab.
2. Choose the due date for the deposit
Deposit to be paid x days from reservation date made
RMSWeb will calculate the due date to be x days from the date the reservation is made
Deposit to be paid x days prior to Arrival
RMSWeb will calculate the due date to be x days prior to the arrival date of the reservation
Second Deposit:
1. Choose how you would like to calculate the deposit
Deposit Amount
A dollar ($) and/or percentage (%) amount - RMSWeb will use whichever amount is higher.
Per week or part thereof
A dollar ($) amount which will calculate out over every 7 day period the guest is staying or part there of a week.
Rate less 1st Deposit
RMSWeb will calculate the total tariff minus the 1st deposit required amount
Balance of Account (Balance of General Account)
This option will only work for those properties who have chosen to create the tariff when the reservation is made. RMSWeb will make the actual balance of the accommodation account the deposit figure, this will include any sundry charges on the account.
2. Choose the due date for the deposit
Deposit to be paid x days from reservation date made
RMSWeb will calculate the due date to be x days from the date the reservation is made
Deposit to be paid x days prior to Arrival
RMSWeb will calculate the due date to be x days prior to the arrival date of the reservation
Click once on the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
