From any screen within RMSWeb
Click once on Setup on the Navigation bar
Choose Lookup Tables from the list
Choose Bkg Sources from the sub list
Click once on Add
The booking source is intended as a source of marketing data. Knowledge of the source of a reservation is useful when directing advertising, creating market analysis etc.
The Reservation List may be sorted by Booking Source or unique reports established through the Report Writer.
1. Enter a Code
This can be alpha or numeric, but has a limit of 6 characters.
2. Enter the description of the booking source.
All other fields on this screen are optional.
3. Click once on Save/Next to enter further Bkg Sources. Click once on Save/Exit once complete.
Grouping may be associated to a Booking Source.
For Example: You may have a Bkg Source entered for each newspaper/magazine that you have advertised your property with, therefore a Grouping for this could be paper publications.
Voucher may be ticked.
This field would only ever need to be ticked if you require a voucher from the guest when a reservation is associated to this Bkg Source.
Show in RMSOnline will be ticked by default.
This feature will only effect the RMSOnline Module with the Agent RMS. By ticking this option it will show the description in a drop down list on your online booking screen for the client to choose from when making their reservation.
Inactive.
This feature will hide the source from the selection screen. However will still appear within your reporting.
The contacts screen is accessible once the first screen has been saved. Here you would enter the contact details of the person/s which you would correspond with in regards to this Booking Source. Windows prevents use of special grammar symbols so commas, apostrophes, colons etc are to be avoided. It is best to keep to plain text.
The expenditure tab is accessible once the first screen has been saved. Here you would enter your budget figures for your booking sources. To alter the Year/ Months displayed you must change the From/To date and refresh at the bottom of the screen.
Bkg Sources Search Screen:
The Bkg Sources search screen will show a list of all Bkg Sources by default.
You may filter the Bkg Sources list to find the source you are after by using the Filter By option on the bottom left hand side of the screen.
Filter Options are Bkg Source and Code.
The columns on this screen are able to be widened by click, hold and drag mouse function, left or right, the column you wish to decrease or increase.
To move the column order, click and hold the column title you wish to move, keeping the mouse button down drag the column left or right to the desired area you wish for it to show, release the mouse button to drop the column into position.
