Think of the Tariff Look Up table as answering the four basic questions:
Who?    Charge Type indicates the type of guest
When?    Charge Periods provide the applicable dates
Where?    The reservation provides the location ( Category/Area)
How Much?    The Tariff table provides the amounts to charge.

All these elements come together to allow RMS to calculate the tariff for each reservation. The flexibility and power of RMS tariff calculations
Select the required tables from the drop down boxes in each field.

Linking of the charge type, category and period in the look up table allows the correct tariff to be calculated once the operator has selected the appropriate dates and Charge type.

A tariff lookup may also be attached to a single room or several rooms within a category by selecting the required rooms instead of the default ALL in the Room column..

Yield Management:
Yield management is an optional feature which will apply a specified tariff, based on the existing occupancy levels. Tariffs set with Yield management specified will overrule tariffs with charge periods. Its purpose is to attract business to periods with surplus capacity. See also Yield management in General Information, Options.
