SMS Messaging - Version 8.11

| This module is available in Version 8.11 of RMS and allows you to send text messages directly to your guests from RMS.

| Setup:
|
| Go to Setup Drop Down Menu > Multiple Properties > Edit the appropraite Property
|
| You need to enter a reply mobile number into the mobile field. You need to include the Country code and omit the first 0 of the mobile number. eg For Australia +61412345678
|
| Then Save and Exit.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Next, you need to setup your Templates:
|
|
|
| Go to Setup > SMS Messaging > Add
|
|
|
| Enter a Description of the Template. Type in the white box the body of your Text. You can insert Merge fields from RMS. The RMS Merge fields are grouped into their own categories in the database. Therefore if you wish to insert the guests surname select 'Client' from the Merge Table then highlight surname from the Merge field list and double click.

|
|
| Save and Exit when complete.
|
|
|
| Please note: we suggest you limit the use of symbols. Text Messages are 160 characters. We suggest you leave a few characters spare in case there is a merge field that is larger than expected.

| Using RMS TXTr:
|
|
|
| You can send an SMS message anywhere within RMS that you can send Correspondance from.
|
|
|
| You need to ensure that a Mobile number is entered within the Reservation that you wish to send an SMS to.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Sending SMS from a Reservation:
|
|
|
| In a Reservation > Correspondance Tab
|
|
|
| Click SMS (Out)
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Highlight your SMS Template you wish to send from the List on the left and click Send SMS
|
|
|
|
|
|
| You will be prompted "Are you sure you want to Send SMS" click OK
|
|
|
| The letter will be recorded as being sent in the Correspondance tab of the Reservation.
|
|
|
| Sending SMS from Report Writer:
|
|
|
| Go to RW tab along top toolbar
|
|
|
| Once you have chosen Show Matches and marked those clients you wish to send an SMS to by ticking the Include box on the left hand side, select the SMS button
|

|
|
|
|
| Highlight your SMS Template you wish to send from the List on the left and click Send SMS
|
|
|
|
|
|
| You will be prompted "Are you sure you want to Send SMS" click OK
|
|
|
| The letter will be recorded as being sent in the Correspondance tab of the Reservation.
|
|
|
| Sending SMS from In/Out Screen:
|
|
|
| Go to In/Out tab along top toolbar
|
|
|
| Choose your Report View on the Left Hand Side and select Refresh to bring up the reservations. Select the bookings you wish to Send and SMS to by ticking the box in Res No field. Then Select SMS.
|

|
|
|
|
| You will be prompted "Are you sure you want to Send an SMS to the found reservations?" Choose Yes if correct.
|
|
|
| Highlight your SMS Template you wish to send from the List on the left and click Send SMS
|
|
|
|
|
|
| You will be prompted "Are you sure you want to Send SMS" click OK
|
|
|
| The letter will be recorded as being sent in the Correspondance tab of the Reservation.
|
|
|
| Sending SMS to Overdue Deposits:
|
|
|
| From Reports > Daily Reports > Overdue Deposits List
|
|
|
| Choose your Report filters, then tick Send SMS option and select Build
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Highlight your SMS Template you wish to send from the List on the left and click Send SMS
|
|
|
|
|
|
| You will be prompted "Are you sure you want to Send SMS" click OK
|
|
|
| The letter will be recorded as being sent in the Correspondance tab of the Reservation.
|

|
|
|
