If when searching for a reservation you receive an error which states that there are no matches found, ensure that you do not have group records only ticked in the bottom option box as shown below.  
 
Also check you have highlighted the correct " Search On" option

If your search screen minimizes simply double click on the dark title bar at the top of the screen to maximize.
