If you have 2 people sharing a room from the same company, Room Sharing is not designed for this. In this example, you would add a guest to an existing Reservation via the Guest tab. For more information on Adding a Guest to a Reservation, click here.
Also, if you have 2 people sharing a room and want to split the rate between the guests so they each pay a portion of the Total Tariff, Split Tariffs can be used for this instead. For more information on Split Tariffs, click here.
Go to Setup > Category/Area > Edit Category
To turn on, tick Allow multiple reservations over the same time, Save and Exit
You can then make separate reservations in the same room via the Add button along the top toolbar.
To bring up all reservations, you need to utilise the Search screen from the top toolbar as shown below.
The Reservation Chart will show the bookings based on Arrival and Departure Dates. Therefore if 2 reservations are for the same date, the Reservation Chart will show 1 only. If however, the dates overlap, the reservations are listed on the reservation Chart per their Arrival Date.
As in the above example, the Brown booking is 18/21 Feb. The Smith booking is 19/22 Feb. Both reservations are in Room 01.
In the case where the second booking arrives with a later Arrival Date and departs with an earlier Departure Date, it will show as follows on the Reservation Chart.
Eg Brown booking 18/21 Feb. Smith booking 19/20 Feb.
