Introduction to Travel Agents
Previous Top Next |
| Travel Agents can work in one of two ways;
| 1. An agent can pay you less their commission
| 2. You may pay an agent commission on reservations taken.
| Example 1:
| There are 2 ways to handle this example in RMS.
| You may create the Gross Tariff and the Agent will pay the net. See Travel Agent Payments Less Commission
| You may create the Net Tariff and the Agent will pay the net. See Travel Agent Bulk Payments on Net
| Example 2:
| Here you would complete a process weekly or monthly etc to pay the Agent their commission. See Travel Agent Payments Inc Commission to be Paid.
| Travel Agents may be setup in RMS to use neither of the above by simply not attaching a commission during the setup process.

| In utilising either of these 2 options above in Trust/Owner Accounting Module, the Owner will receive the Gross amount, not the net amount. See Travel Agent Commission for Trust/Owner Accounting
