Benefits of the Internet Backup:
The RMS Internet Backup system is designed to act as a means of keeping your data safe and in an offsite location.

It is primarily designed to alleviate the worry of ensuring that backup are done and kept safe.

The Internet Backup requires a permanent connection to the internet so that when the pre programmed time arrives it will simply copy, compress and send your data to our secure servers for storage.

Logs are kept so that you can see if and when backups were done and successful.

We have found that the most common cause of severe data loss is due to the following reasons, all of which are alleviated by the Internet Backup system.

1. Failure to perform daily manual backups.
2. Failure to check that a backup is actually writing correctly.
3. Failure to keep backups safe and offsite.
4. Faulty storage media.

As part of the Internet Backup System you also get automatic hard drive backups which can be triggered at pre determined times up to three times daily. Thus (barring hard drive failure) providing the ability to recover to a recent backup from the same day.

We feel that the Internet Backup is an important part of your RMS suite and for around 1AUD per day is also a small price to pay for your peace of mind.

This Module requires RMS version 7.1.28 or later.

Your Technician should do a test FTP transfer to any FTP Server using Port 21 to guarantee that your system is not blocking file transfers of this type. The RMS support staff cannot able to perform this test.

The RMS iBackup requires that your internet connection be connectable whenever necessary. You must save your Username and Password and allow the system to connect to the internet whenever required. If you Internet Connection is "Always On" this would already have been done.
