Alternative Views
The RMS Online Booking engine can be configured in a range of ways to achieve the best results for your property style. The first screen will open in a view which is determined by the configuration you choose. See below a selection of configuration options.
Name	Discription		Link
Default View	This is the standard view for loading RMS Online. Once the customer makes their travel selections and clicks on the "Go" button, RMS Online will show availability for all room types with the applicable rate types for the selected period.		Example
Select Room Type	This option loads the booking screen with a list of the property's room types. When selected the rates and availability for that room type will be displayed.		Example
Hide Room Information	If you prefer your booking page to resemble the grid style often used by popular travel websites you can choose this option which, after selecting travel details, will display just the rates and availability of each room type. Customers can still view images and descriptions by clicking the more info buttons on each room type.		Example
Specific Room Types	In this view RMS Online will open the booking screens showing images and descriptions for a specific room type or a selection of room types whilst hiding the availability and rate information. To display the availability and rates the customer enters their travel selections and clicks on the "Go" button.		Example
No Payment	This option allows for bookings which bypass the payment screens. This can be used for agents or special guests who are not required to make a payment. Typically the button for this link would be password protected or made available from a hidden section of the website.		Example
Stay Periods and Guest  Information	The arrival and departure dates as well as the number of guests can be pre-populated from a calendar on the property website. Your website developer will need the ability to create a URL from your calendar that displays the appropriate parameters using the format of the link shown in the example.		Example
Promo Code	If you wish to have a set of rooms and rates which are only available to those guests who are responding to certain marketing activity you use the "Promo code" feature. When marketing certain deals include a promo code in the advertisement. By entering that code into the promo code field on the booking screen they will expose rates which would otherwise be hidden to other customers. To test this feature click on the example and type GETAWAY into the promo code field.		Example
Hot Deals	This link allows you to display a particular rate which is available all the time. This could also be combined to display that rate for a single room type or several room types.		Example

RMS Online Terms and Conditions

1. Cancellation penalties depend on Accommodation Provider policies. An administration charge (defined on the booking form) applies to all booking changes and cancellations.

2. RMS Online sells Accommodation Provider accommodation from an inventory supplied by each Accommodation Provider, and does not over-sell that inventory. RMS Online does not accept any liability for unavailability of rooms caused by the Accommodation Provider over-selling their own room inventory.

3. The customer will be required to provide a credit card at check-in to cover incidental charges and may be required to provide photo ID.

4. RMS Online makes its best efforts to ensure that the information available on its web site is accurate. However, RMS Online cannot and does not guarantee that the site is free from errors or faults.

5. RMS Online does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information published on the site at any time.

6. RMS Online does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with its web site or for any products or services purchased from its web site.

7. RMS Online makes no warranty or representation about the fitness or suitability of any product or service advertised on its web site.

8. RMS Online offers are not commissionable to registered travel agents.

9. RMS Online receives a payment from the Accommodation Provider for the provision of the RMS Online booking service.

10. You must be at least 18 years of age to book Accommodation on RMS Online.

11. These terms do not affect consumers' statutory rights.

12. Customer acknowledges that a third party ('card authoriser') will process the credit card transactions required in respect of a booking. Customer agrees that RMS Online is not liable for default by the card authoriser.

13. Customer acknowledges that payment for the cost of accommodation will be held by RMS Online on behalf of the Accommodation Provider and remitted to the property on terms agreed between RMS Online and Accommodation Provider.

14. Customer agrees to pay to RMS Online by debit to customers credit card account the specific booking fee & cost of the accommodation. All fees are GST inclusive. RMS Online will issue customer with a valid tax invoice in respect of this booking service.

15. Bookings made through RMS Online by the customer are made on behalf of the Accommodation Provider. Customer agrees that Accommodation Provider has sole responsibility for delivery of the services being booked by the customer and that RMS Online is not liable for default by the Accommodation Provider.

16. Whilst every effort is made to ensure your requested room type is available, we cannot guarantee the actual bedding configuration of the room. These requests are forwarded to the Accommodation Provider and are subject to availability on day of check-in. All additional requests (smoking room, etc) are also subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed by RMS Online.

 

 

RMS Distributor

This is the product that will connect your property to a broad range of online booking and channel management companies. RMS distributer can connect you directly to third party websites and booking engines such as Wotif.com, Checkin.com, Choice Hotels, DirectWithHotels, and V3 Leisure.

RMS will also connect you to a range of channel managers such as SiteMinder, Levart and Netroomz.

Distributor automates the process of maintaining manual allocations and enters the booking directly into RMS. Once a booking comes from either your website or one of the third party websites you are linked to it will automatically appear on your RMS booking screen with all of the details filled in for you. How good is that?

Please note that this is an open source developer's kit which is offered at no charge for the use of suitably qualified web developers. There is enough information within the API to allow an experienced developer to integrate a property's website with the full range of functionality of the RMS Online booking system.
