RMS On-Line Bookings™ and RMS Distributor™ Complete your on-line booking campaign by receiving bookings from your own website and a choice of third-party booking websites.
RMS Online API Retain the look and feel of your existing website while integrating with your live data on the RMS Online server. Multi Function Module (MFI) Allows for two-way interfacing between your reservation management system and your peripherals such as PABX, door locks and Internet billing. The MFI passes information to the peripheral device such as room number, guest name and arrival/departure date. Purchase the MFI only once for all of your two-way interfaces.

The advantages of RMS Central include:
Clients Share clients from a single database to accurately record room night and other statistics information regardless of which property they stay in. When client details are updated at one property those changes are instantly available to all properties in the group. No more duplication of clients.
Reporting Reports can be generated for the entire group, individual properties are by a given room type. For example you might want a revenue report for all properties, a marketing report for a single property or an occupancy report for all two bedroom apartments in a geographical region.
Centralised Tasks Avoid the duplication of tasks by centralising activities such as debtor management, accounts receivable, travel agents commission payments and end of month processing (Trust Accounting)

The Short Messaging System (SMS) is a fantastic way to communicate directly with your customers. It is a quick and inexpensive way to reliably pass information to a guest in a way that you will be sure they receive it. Unlike an e-mail that might get caught in a spam filter, SMS have a phenomenal delivery success rate. The problem is however that unless you are under sixteen years old you may find it difficult to send text messages by the traditional method. Maybe you have stubby fingers like a rugby player or perhaps you just hate pressing those tiny little keys for hours on end.
Do not despair, RMS has the answer. Our new SMS feature, "RMS TXTr" has arrived to allow you to send text messages to your guests directly from RMS.

PCI Compliance and Online Payments
Any merchant who process, transmits or stores credit card information is now required to comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS, is a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security, which was developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, MasterCard and Visa, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis.
To become PCI compliant you will need to rely on your service providers such as RMS. RMS are pleased to announce the release of a new feature which will allow you to process credit card payments across the internet whilst greatly improving your level of PCI compliance.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Can I still charge against the guest credit card for unpaid incidentals or unreported damage to the room?
A. When you enter credit card details in RMS the details are passed to and stored with the internet payment gateway provider. RMS will retain a "token" which relates to that credit card. Each time you wish to make a payment against that credit card account all you do is process the payment in RMS as usual. RMS will send the token to the payment gateway along with the details of the sale to facilitate the payment.
Q. Do the transaction fees apply for all credit card payments?
A. You need only pay the transaction fees for transactions processed via RMS. If you don't need to store the credit card details you can simply process the transaction as normal via your credit card terminal.
Q. Can I use my existing merchant facility?
A. The RMS PCI compliant solution will work with all the major banks. You may choose to retain your bank for your general accounts but explore changing your merchant facility to a new bank if the transaction costs are more attractive. See the table of charges on this page.
Q. Can I perform a refund or a preauthorisation using the PCI compliant solution?
A. You can refund money to a credit card stored by the payment gateway provider directly from RMS. A preauthorisation can still be made via your credit card terminal.
